Grilled Jalapeño Chicken Burgers (Perfect for Summer)

These cheesy jalapeño chicken burgers are perfect to throw on the grill this summer. Made with fresh ingredients make them the perfect, light meal during those hot months.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Grill (or your method of cooking): Heat to medium-high. Lightly oil surface to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the burger mixture: In a medium bowl, mix together ground chicken, onion, cilantro, minced garlic, jalapeño, ground cumin, paprika, lime juice, shredded cheese, salt and pepper. Be careful to not over mix.
  3. Form the patty: take enough mixture to form a medium size ball (or smaller if you want sliders or smash burgers) then flatten the ball in your palms. This should make about 6 patties give or take the size you want your burgers.
  4. Grill: Toss patties on the preheated grill. Grill for about 5-6 minutes on each side. Once flipped and they have about 1-2 minutes left, add any additional cheese if desired.
  5. Serve: serve immediately on hamburger buns with any desired toppings listed above.
